Author of The Pain Project, Fallen and Ghost Warning

Reading at Queen Books

Toronto friendlies! Next week Ann Choi and myself will be reading at Queen Books.

If you haven’t read Ann’s beautiful book Kay’s Lucky Coin Variety, you should! It is set in the same time and landscape as Ghost Warning, and it is easy to imagine our fictional characters passing one another on the windy paths of Trinity Bellwoods, or waiting at a streetcar stop together. Making the evening extra cool, is the fact that Ann and I went to high school together, same homeroom, so for any Oakwood alumni out there – it will be a bit of a reunion!

October 28th, Sechelt Library Fundraiser

Simon and I will be joined by the stellar Boyd Norman to play and present at a fundraiser gourmet dinner for the Sechelt Library. Tickets are available at share-there.com, the Sechelt Visitors Centre or at the Sechelt Library.

Road trip!

I am so excited to be doing a mini-tour of readings with the amazing Angie Abdou. On Oct 2nd, we will be at the Vancouver Public Library from 7-8:30. On Oct. 3rd, we will be at Bolen Books in Victoria 7:00. And on October 4th, we will be reading on beautiful Salt Spring Island

Thank you

Quill and Quire for including Ghost Warning in your Fall Fiction preview! I am terrifically excited to be included on a list with writers such as Angie Abdou and Rachel Manley.

GHOST WARNING gets a nod from 49th Shelf

Ghost Warning  has been included in 49th Shelf’s  Most Anticipated Fiction Reads post. So many amazing authors on the list, I am honoured to be in their company. And – how cool is this? – one of them happens to be my high school buddy Andrew Daley!
